October 16, 2006 : Rebuild presents Carol Sasaki, founder of the International Humanity Foundation to speak at NewSchool of Architecture and Design NewSchool, San Diego, California.
In her talk, Carol Sasaki will speak of her efforts to eliminate poverty both on a local and international scale, and touch on her experiences on eliminating child brides and furthering educational opportunities in poor countries through non-profit work. Come hear an inspirational individual and the effects of poverty in Africa and Southeast Asia. Read more here...

July - September 2006 : Member and design instructor forms project with students and local environmental organization to promote awareness Pacific Beach, San Diego, California.
Jeff Silva, Rebuild Project Coordinator and design instructor at Art Institute San Diego, and local organization I Love A Clean San Diego, developed a campaign in which graphic design honor students from AISD will design an identity to encourage the perception of community pride and respond to the overwhelming impact of litter.

June - August 2006 : Member volunteers with Operation Crossroads Africa The Gambia, West Africa.
Together with 6 other individuals from all over North America, Rebuild Project Coordinator Sandra Plaza lived and worked with the community of Jambanjelly to construct a library for the village.

March 2-9, 2006 : Rebuild goes to Crawford High
City Heights, San Diego, California.
Rebuild and StandUp For Kids unite with Crawford High School students

July 28, 2007 One Night in Uganda Benefit Dinner
San Diego, California.
CEGUN (Campaign to End Genocide in Uganda...Now!) would like to invite you, your family, and your friends to come and enjoy a benefit dinner event for Uganda on July 28th at 6:00 pm. They're hosting this event mainly to raise greatly needed funds to support a couple of projects in Northern Uganda along with upcoming local events and activities.
