Beyond Boundaries
The cubed mass of highly compressed recycled architectural drawings on vellum, bond, blueprint, and sepia paper echoes the creative hand of the architect – its trials, pains, and passions. Encompassed within the most basic of forms, it pronounces in the boldest of gestures, “I am Architecture.” Not unlike the Laurel crowns of the Ancient Roman games, this prize bestows upon its bearers the proud recognition of excellence. It meritoriously celebrates accomplishments above and beyond those of their peers. A truth be known to all recipients of this accolade for there is still an underlayment of virtue and responsibility to be had. The deep scar left by the “Void” upon the smooth chaotic landscape is prominent. Transparent in duality, the Yin and Yang of the cicatrix both fills, but yet seeks out purpose for its incomplete metaphor. One must travel beyond the boundaries of the mind for those in shackles will only see the muddled truth. The answers reside in the shadow of the Void.
