Day 1: March 2, 2006
Location: Crawford High
Taught approximately twenty sophomore students and raised up the issues of homelessness and poverty and what identifies a home. Looked at examples of slums in Tijuana and the devastation caused by Katrina. We created image boards and had the students write their thoughts and feelings and what they can do to contribute to these lost communities. Homework was assigned to identify what makes their a home a home. |
